Melbourne Water downstream plantings (2024)

It is great to see that Melbourne Water have has started significant weed control and revegetation works downstream on the Plenty River between the Greensborough Hwy overpass and the train station (approx. 4km of river frontage). This will be a big improvement of that section and complementary to the work we are doing.

Hop Goodenia (Goodenia ovata) is also a favorite in our plantings upstream. It provides important food and habitat for insects and birds.
